Become a cab driver in SimCity!

SimCabbie has you assuming the role of a cab driver in SimCity in order to pay off your significant other's exorbitant medical bills! SimCabbie is intended to be the fully realized concept of the Copyright Infringement Game Jam version of the same game.

• Customize Your Story: Who are you? Who is your significant other? What are your genders? In order to tailor the story to the player, these aspects of the game are all decided at the very beginning!
• Day/Night Cycle: As the sun sets, SimCity darkens and the buildings light up! Pick up different passengers based on the time of day. Expect impatient blue collar workers during the day and incoherent drunks at night!
• Free Play Mode: Is SimCity too big to learn quickly? Hop into Free Play mode where you are free to explore and learn the layout the city without having to worry about fuel or passengers.
• Hundreds of Passengers: SimCabbie will feature hundreds of different passengers who you can pick up. Not all passengers will be straight forward fares and may lead to branching choices or side activities. Additionally, passengers will grow upset if you take an unorthodox route to their destination and charge them more than they expect. Be careful!
• Manage Your Finances: At the end of each in-game month, you will have to pay vehicle insurance and taxi license renewal. Make sure you have enough! Additionally, deposit simoleons at the bank to put towards your end goal of paying for your significant other's medical bills.
• MASSIVE Game World: Sim City is bigger than ever! SimCabbie will span three large maps: the crowded city map of Sim City, the quaint rural community of Willow Creek, and the suburban sprawl of Newcrest. Each location will feature their own unique types of activities, buildings, and passengers.
• Radio Background Music: Switch between almost twenty different songs that originate from several different SimCity games to listen to as background music while you drive. If you crave something a little different, switch to 92.5 FM SimCity News Radio to hear about the goings-on around the city as reported by Bella Goth and Don Lothario.
• Side Activities: Gamble or play the lottery at casinos, bet on sports games at rinks and stadiums, blow your money on mini-games, and more.
• Upgrade Your Cab: Don't like your cab and want a car that is faster or more fuel efficient? Save up your simoleons and buy better cabs to paint yellow and pick up fares in from old clunkers to modern sedans to... open wheel grand prix race cars!
• Weather System:  Light rain showers will drive more people to want to call for cabs, while strong thunderstorms will keep people at home. Take advantage of the changing weather conditions!
