WIP 1.25 Final Update
Just an update that I am about to start the ABSOLUTE final update for this game. The one thing that I've never fully addressed over the years is the messy balance of the first several hours of the game, which became the way it was as a result of me originally taking ten years of off and on again work in a pretty disorganized state to finish the game. My intention with this update isn't to add or remove anything from the game, I'm only steaming through the first 12-15 hours to fix enemy spell damage, potency of some character attacks/abilities, experience and gold rates, and so forth. Should be ready in the next several days.
2024 Edit: I incorporated all of the changes I had made without actually stating that I did so several months ago. Here's what changed...
- Corrected dialogue slightly in a few spots (two periods instead of three for ellipses, various redundancies, etcetera).
- Drastically increased experience and gold gained from ochus.
- Furious Worm renamed to Plains Worm. Removed all elemental resistances.
- Halved attack power of Lord Zeul (first encounter).
- Increased experience gains of many enemies in the first ten hours by 25% to 50%.
- Nightmare now grants experience points as a catch-up mechanic for Ami and Nobumasa.
- Reduced attack power of Darius (first encounter) from 100 to 80.
- Reduced attack power of Gatekeeper from 222 to 180.
- Reduced hit points of all three Magus Sisters.
- Reduced hit points of Biblos from 9000 to 6000.
- Reduced hit points of Gatekeeper from 1555 to 1200.
- Reduced hit points of Gunk from 250 to 120.
- Reduced hit points of Keymaster from 1300 to 800.
- Reduced hit points of Magmator from 1750 to 1300.
- Reduced hit points of Malacore (first encounter) from 3500 to 2500.
- Reduced speed of Gatekeeper from 62 to 50.
- Reinstated Garuda's experience points. Now grants 1000 experience upon death.
- Reinstated Magmator's experience points. Now grants 1000 experience upon death.
- Reinstated Murkfin's experience points. Now grants 1200 experience upon death.
- Reinstated Siegfried's experience points. Now grants 500 experience upon defeat.
- Reinstated Three Generals' (first encounter) experience points. Now grants 2000 experience upon defeat.
- Removed Confuse spell from Gunk's attack pattern.
- Removed Water 2 spell from Malacore's attack pattern during first encounter.
This is it for Blackmoon Prophecy. I do not intend to ever fix anything else ever again with this game.
