A downloadable game

Final Fantasy: Memories of Bygone Days is a fan game being developed in RPG Maker MV. My plans for this game is to mimic an 8-bit style of gameplay and overall plot/story structure similar to that found in the first few Final Fantasy games on the NES, but with more modern features such as deep character customization, plenty of side quests, and more.

What does the title of the game mean? It's simply alluding to the Final Fantasy games of years past as this game is simply a love letter to all things OLD. The subtitle of this fan game does not have anything to do with the actual in-game story.

Aiming to have the game done sometime in 2025, hopefully in the first half of the year!

8-BIT MUSIC: All tracks in the game are 8-bit renditions of tracks from Final Fantasy IV through to Final Fantasy X. These 8-bit versions are not by me, but the proper people are credited in the in-game credits and documentation. Check them all out on YouTube!

FORM YOUR PARTY: Assemble a party of four characters that you pick the jobs and names of just like in the original Final Fantasy. Pick from Berserker, Black Mage, Blue Mage, Chemist, Dragoon, Fighter, Gambler, Monk, Ninja, Paladin, Thief, and White Mage.

ORIGINAL RETRO VISUALS: Enjoy semi 8-bit style overworld sprites and tiles made by yours truly that are meant to mimic the style of classic Final Fantasy games. In-battle party and enemy sprites are edits from existing games, with monsters primarily being downgraded sprites from the 16-bit Final Fantasy titles.

STRAIGHT FORWARD STORY: Looking for a game where you don't have to stress about keeping up with character development or intricate plot details? This is the game for you then! Much like classic JRPGs, the story here is light and easy to follow with the NPCs doing all of the heavy lifting for you.
